Thanks to the success of last year's event TV Utopia is returning in 2018!

Banish those winter blues and join us for a unique event celebrating your favourite British television from the last fifty years.

Take a TV Timeslip and come and enjoy a weekend in the gorgeous Mercure Whately Hall in Banbury with like-minded fans, for what is set to be an unmissable weekend looking at the best in drama, soap, children's television, science fiction and fantasy!

Over the weekend you will be able to watch interviews, collect autographs, pose for photos and meet some of your television favourites.

Attendees to TV Utopia will receive priority seating access to the Friday and Saturday night screenings.

In partnership with Kaleidoscope we are able to screen a number of classic and largely unseen programmes and clips from the past!

A rare screening of the recently returned season one episode of the cult 1960s hit!

AUSTRALIAN CENSOR CLIPS 

Recently returned from Australia Chris Perry presents censor clips from Sexton Blake, Callan and Out of the Unknown as well as the previously seen The Goodies and Doctor Who.

CROSSROADS OFFCUTS
A complication of recently discovered film trims from episodes of Crossroads not have known to have existed.

CORONATION STREET RARITIES
A selection of untransmitted programmes, rare documentaries and episodes not commercially available!

Video policy

We regret that we cannot allow video or audio recording within the main areas of the convention, including the main hall.

Autograph pre-order service

If you are unable to attend the event and wish to purchase autographs either on your own items or on photos, we offer a pre-order postal service.

Terms & Conditions

No refunds. Guests subject to work commitments. Guests may have merchandise such as photographs on sale and charge for extra signatures. The ticket holder must be in attendance to redeem the inclusive free autographs. Autographs are non-transferable by proxy. Tickets are non-transferable and cannot be resold. Attendees are not permitted to promote alternative events (through means of leafleting or otherwise) - anyone found doing so will be asked to leave. This event is 100% unofficial event and is not supported or endorsed by the copyright holders. Other terms and conditions may apply at the discretion of the organisers.

About the venue

Mercure Banbury Whately Hall Hotel is a characterful 17th century 3-star hotel with beautifully manicured gardens to the rear. Discover the gorgeous oak-panelled Swifts restaurant or relax in the Horton's Bar.

The hotel's 69 bedrooms offer guests a range of accommodation options including privilege rooms, spacious suites, interconnecting rooms and enhanced accessibility. Each room features a range of facilities such as hair dryer and WiFi. All bedrooms are in line with 3-star standards but some come with some of the original features of this 17th century building and breathtaking garden views.

TV Utopia has negotiated a special rate for our convention attendees. All packages include Bed (Single, Double or Twin), Hot Buffet Evening Meal and Hot Buffet Breakfast. All prices are based on a minimum two night stay.

How to get there

By car

Via the M40, exit at Junction 11 then follow signs for the A422 to Banbury for 1 mile (1.6 km), continuing through 2 roundabouts. At the third roundabout turn left where the Citroen garage is, continuing straight on through the intersection with the traffic lights. The hotel is about 300 yards (275 m) further along on the right, before Banbury Cross.

By train

The nearest train station is Banbury - only a couple of miles away.
There are direct trains from London Paddington & London Marylebone (approximately an hour dependant on service).
